I’m currently reading the snow leopard by peter matthiessen. So far so good. It’s memoir from a trip to the himalaya in the 70s. Good if you’re into eastern philosophy/religion

So I finished The Brothers Karamazov a couple of weeks ago. A truly fantastic book that deals with guilt, belief in God and the problems people experience with regard to belief in God. A book full of emotion and wise words that apply to our own lives. Dostoevsky lived in a time of scientific enlightenment but was very much against the tide of his time. That’s not to say he rejected science, but he very much in opposition to it being the answer to all things. Personally, this resonates with me because I do question where science has got to, in that everything is separated into its constituent parts and studied to the nth degree. I believe the world is too complicated for us to truly understand things at the granular level, and we don’t even know if the instruments we use to measure things and collate data are even correct! Anyway, I am distracting myself. Read the book!
